Forum Launches Global Volunteering Standard Good Practice Handbooks

In collaboration with the Global Advisory Group for Handbooks, we’re thrilled to introduce the first set of the Global Volunteering Standard Good Practice Handbooks. These resources are designed to assist volunteer-involving organisations in applying the Standard effectively.

Each handbook offers practical guidance aligned with the Global Volunteering Standard’s four Themes: Designing and Delivering Projects, Duty of Care, Managing Volunteers, and Measuring Impact. Our initial release covers Managing Volunteers and includes:

1. Recruitment and Selection
2. Preparation, Training, and Learning
3. Placement and Support
4. Debriefing, Recognition, and Ongoing Engagement
