Call for Expressions of Interest to Host IVCO 2027 or IVCO 2028

IVCO 2025 in Siem Reap was an incredible success — a week of powerful conversations, shared learning and connection across the global volunteering community.

Over the coming weeks, Forum will be sharing stories, interviews, think pieces and more inspired by the conference, which brought together leaders and practitioners from around the world to explore “Strengthening Civil Society in Challenging Times.”

We are now looking ahead to the next chapters in the IVCO journey. In October 2026, France Volontaires will host IVCO 2026 in Paris, with exact dates to be announced very soon.

And beyond that, Forum is inviting expressions of interest to host IVCO 2027 or IVCO 2028.

About IVCO

The International Volunteer Cooperation Organisations (IVCO) conference is Forum’s annual flagship event. It brings together senior leaders, practitioners and researchers in volunteering and development to share insights, discuss trends, and explore how volunteering can drive sustainable development and social change.

Each year, IVCO provides a space for learning, reflection and collaboration among Forum’s members and partners. The conference location typically rotates regions, reflecting the diversity and global reach of the volunteering sector.

How to Apply

If your organisation is interested in hosting IVCO 2027 or IVCO 2028, please send a short expression of interest by email to ivco@forum-ids.org

Your message should include:

The year you are interested in hosting (2027 or 2028)
The country or region you would propose to host IVCO
The reasons for your interest and any initial ideas for possible themes

Support for Hosts

Forum provides detailed guidance, templates and ongoing support to each host organisation, who work closely with Forum’s IVCO Working Group (which includes past hosts). Future hosts also have the opportunity to shadow the current host as they prepare their own IVCO.
