IVCO 2022 – A New Dawn for Volunteering for Development

Forum is excited to announce that IVCO 2022 will be hosted in Senegal by Crossroads International and the International Bureau for Children’s Rights (IBCR).

The theme of IVCO 2022 is A New Dawn for Volunteering for Development. As we emerge from COVID-19, the conference will explore what is now possible for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, how multi-dimensional voluntary cooperation models can contribute to these efforts, and how the expertise of volunteers in the Global South can be at the heart of achieving the Goals.

The co-hosts will work closely with the Senegalese Government and National Committee for Coordination and Promotion of Volunteerism, and with volunteer-involving organisations in Senegal and the West Africa.

As usual, IVCO will take place in October. We will share a Save the Date notice once the dates for the conference are confirmed. We are looking forward to re-connecting with our community at the first in-person IVCO since 2019, and as with all in-person events this will be dependent on COVID restrictions.

Join a movement of global citizens working for a world where no one is left behind.
