Forum Research Project on COVID-19 and the future of volunteering for development

The Forum Research, Practice, Policy and Learning Group is launching an ambitious new research project to inform the future of volunteering for development post-COVID.

The COVID-19 pandemic is presenting challenges to all Forum members, and to all organisations that work with volunteers. The crisis also offers an opportunity to re-think our ways of working, develop innovative volunteering models and ways of working, and diversify our offerings to volunteers and the communities they serve.

This research project will explore the future direction of volunteering for development, alternative volunteering models, and lessons from the COVID-19 response.

We thank Norec for their generous support of this project.

We are inviting expressions of interest from researchers and strategists by Friday 3 July.
