Announcing a PhD Studentship with Forum & Northumbria University

We are delighted to announce a new partnership with the Centre for Global Development at Northumbria University. Together with our colleagues at Northumbria, we are opening applications for a PhD studentship focusing on the evolving landscape of development cooperation and the role of volunteering within it.

The project, titled ‘Volunteering in a Changing Development Cooperation Landscape’, offers a unique opportunity for a researcher to explore the ways in which changes in development cooperation are influencing volunteer initiatives, and to develop critical insight that will directly support policy and practice among Forum members and the wider volunteering and development sectors.

The studentship is open to candidates from anywhere in the world and includes a full stipend and tuition fees. We are grateful to Northumbria University, Australian Volunteers International, CECI, Cuso International, and World University Service of Canada (WUSC – EUMC) for their support.

You can find more information and apply here. The application deadline is June 20th, and the start date for the PhD is October 1st.

Join a movement of global citizens working for a world where no one is left behind.
