Crossroads International brings individuals, organizations and communities in Canada and in the global South into partnerships to reduce poverty, to fight AIDS and to assert human rights globally. Crossroads International builds the capacities of Southern organizations and, in so doing, strengthens whole communities and fosters solidarity internationally.
Crossroads International's work is driven by the needs of the groups they work with in the South, their partners define which projects can best support them. The relationships are consolidated through the exchange of skilled volunteers who bring the knowledge and expertise our partners require.
Crossroads International's projects focus on sustainability. The skills, expertise and relationships last beyond the placements, or even Crossroads International's involvement. The placements build on one another and are part of longer-term projects aimed at supporting the growth of groups and communities while promoting solidarity between organizations in the North and the South.
