Nepal Friendship Society (NFS)
The Nepal Friendship Society (NFS) aims to empower marginalized communities, children and youth through education, awareness-raising and enabling sustainable development in communities of Nepal. Its vision is to improve the quality of life for poor and marginalized communities.
NFS is a non-political, non-government and non-profit organisation. It is affiliated with the social welfare council of Nepal and officially registered under the social act. It promotes human rights, equity and wellbeing through providing youth leadership programs, organizing youth exchange and supporting the role of youth in sustainable development at the local level. Its direct action strategy includes a learning centre for free education of poor and marginalized children, and it advocates for sustainable development, women’s empowerment and the awareness of HIV/AIDS prevention.
NFS works with municipality and district development committees, local communities, schools and youth clubs to organize programs in Nepal at the local, district and national levels.
