Paris Conference on International Volunteering postponed

Following the success of last year’s European conference in London, Forum and AFVP were planning to hold a European conference in Paris on 29-30 June 2006. Unfortunately, this year we were unable to secure sufficient financial support to cover the cost of interpreters and subsidise the conference fees. In order to cover the costs of the conference, it would have been necessary to significantly increase the conference fees. This level of fees would have prevented some participants from attending and we therefore decided to postpone the conference until early 2007, giving us more time to secure additional financial support.

In 2005, over 30 representatives of international volunteering agencies gathered in London to discuss new models of international volunteering and current EU initiatives. Click here to view the report or request paper copies.
